Pakistan 500 seats reserved for fans

Calcutta: Only 500 supporters from Pakistan will be witness to the matches in the India-Pakistan series. The decision was taken at a BCCI meeting chaired by President Narayanswamy Srinivasan — in Mumbai.

CAB treasurer Biswarup Dey, who attended the meeting along with joint-secretary Subir Ganguly, also informed that supporters from the other side of the border will be banned from buying tickets from the web portal.

A number of decisions concerning the India-Pakistan bilateral series were taken on Thursday. Among them, one of the main decisions is that only 500 tickets per venue will be available for the Pakistani supporters.

We will also have to provide a list of hotels where the supporters can stay, Dey said. While the match in Chennai starts from 9.30 in the morning, the game at the Eden is set to begin at 2.30pm.

The last showdown in New Delhi begins from 12.30 in the afternoon.
